This 12-day Kenya and Tanzania safari offers an unforgettable wildlife adventure. Starting in Nairobi, the journey takes you to Amboseli National Park with its iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, then to the Masai Mara, renowned for its Great Migration. In Tanzania, you’ll explore the Southern Serengeti, witness the calving season, and descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to a diverse array of wildlife. The itinerary includes comfortable accommodations, experienced guides, and all necessary park fees, ensuring a seamless and enriching safari experience.

Itinerary

On arrival at JKIA, you’ll be met and transferred to the Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel where you are booked for the night.
With the stunning greens and golds of Nairobi National Park’s landscape punctuated by giraffe, zebra, antelope and buffalo lounging near the waterhole, the views alone make Ole-Sereni one-of-a-kind. - Overnight: Emara Ole Sereni (Bed & breakfast)

After breakfast you will begin your 4 hour drive southwards to Amboseli, arriving at Tortilis Camp on time for lunch.
Named after the natural forest of flat-topped acacia Tortilis thorn trees that give it shade, the charming Tortilis Camp is situated on a sprawling private concession, accessed from within the renowned Amboseli National Park. Guests can expect elegant accommodation and endless views stretching to the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in Tanzania. The camp’s beautifully-appointed tents are spacious, with comfortable beds, lovely unsuited bathrooms and a private verandah. You will have an afternoon game drive before returning to the camp for dinner.

- Overnight: Tortilis Camp (Full Board)

Spend the full day in the Park doing game drives. Amboseli lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. The Park covers 392 square km, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 square km Amboseli ecosystem. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination. The National Park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland) and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin, now dry. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty of the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. Major Attractions include Mount Kilimanjaro; Observation Hill which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps and elephants; Swamp below observation hill hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water fowl like pelican; Egyptian goose; contemporary Maasai culture and indigenous lifestyle; herds of elephants.

- Overnight: Amboseli Tortilis Camp (full Board)

After breakfast you, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara departing at 1000 hours. On arrival in the Mara, you will be met by your driver at the airstrip and be transferred to your lodge, Kichwa Tembo Camp.
Located where the riverine forest meets the sweeping plains in the path of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, the camp provides an authentic dose of African wildlife, delivered with legendary Kenyan hospitality. Enhancing its signature elements of romance and nostalgia, the camp has been redesigned to better show case its panoramic Masai Mara views. With timeless interiors that are simple yet contemporary and stylish, the new Kichwa Tembo enhances guests’ sense of privacy and enjoyment.

Spend these two days enjoying game in the Masai Mara. The Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya - Africa. It is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserve’s Triangle. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).
Optional activities include balloon safari & Masai village visit, which are both an experience of a lifetime though at an extra cost.

After breakfast, you will have your scheduled flight departing Mara at 1130 hours to Migori, where you will connect to Tarime and on to Central Seronera airstrip in Tanzania. Then drive from Seronera to Ndutu which is about an hour’s drive but you’ll have a slower drive as you search for game. Explore the Southern Serengeti, home to migratory wildebeest and zebras during the calving season. Watch out for predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas stalking their prey. As the sun sets, return to your lodge Ndutu under Canvas for relaxation. Ndutu under canvas is a simple, charming little camp that invites adventure and excitement. It follows the Great Migration as the animals move from one section of the park to another in search of water and greener pastures

- Overnight at : Ndutu Under Canvas

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive. This region is famous for its wildlife concentrations during the Green Season. Visit Lake Ndutu, a seasonal soda lake, to see flocks of flamingos and other birdlife. You may also encounter elephants, giraffes, and playful lion cubs. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Return in the late afternoon to relax and reflect on the day's adventures.

- Dinner and overnight at: Ndutu Under Canvas

After breakfast, head out for another day of exploration. This time, your guide will take you to different areas within Ndutu to uncover hidden wildlife gems. Enjoy the picturesque landscapes dotted with acacia woodlands and open plains. Keep your camera ready for unique animal behaviors and stunning scenery.
Take a break for lunch at a scenic spot in the wild before resuming your safari.
Conclude your day with some leisure time at your lodge or camp.

- Dinner and overnight at: Ndutu Under Canvas

After breakfast, depart from Ndutu and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game drives along the way. Stop at key viewpoints for stunning vistas of the crater rim and surrounding landscapes. Your guide will share insights into the area's geology and cultural significance. Arrive at your lodge nestled in the lush forest of the crater rim Lions Paw Tented Lodge. Relax and prepare for the next day's exciting activities.

- Dinner and overnight at Lions Paw Tented Lodge.

After a delicious breakfast you will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will proceed to Ngorongoro crater for a game drive, which is the 8th natural wonder of the world and the unique, world famous caldera with the most abundant wildlife. You will descend into the Ngorongoro crater floor. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, descending down the crater, you will enjoy amazing panoramic view and if you are lucky, you will see the Big five. The caldera is exhibiting more than 120 species of mammals. We will also visit saline lakes such as Lake Magadi, which is a magnet for flamingos and other water birds. We will see pools full of hippos, the endangered East Africa’s last black rhinos and birds. After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the park. You'll see the very best that Africa has to offer

- Dinner and overnight at Lions Paw Tented Lodge.

This morning you’ll be transferred to Manyara airstrip for your flight to Kilimanjaro, from where you will connect your flight to Entebbe
