Arrive at Ebb Airport in the morning, met by your guide and proceed to your hotel. Check in and then proceed for the City tour of some sites in Kampala. Pick up from your hotel and take a tour of Kampala City. Visit some of the places that tell the history of Kampala and these include; Kabaka’s Lake, Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo, President Amin’s torture chambers, Lubaga Cathedral, Parliament of Uganda, Gaddafi Mosque, crafts Village and depending if it’s a weekend, crown the evening with a visit to the Ndere Cultural Centre for a Ugandan cuisine and performances of the Ugandan Cultural dances and songs. Kabaka Suuna II was King of Buganda, the largest of the traditional territories that now make up the nation of Uganda. During his reign in the middle of the 19th century, he became the first king to admit outside traders into Buganda. He had 148 wives and sired 218 children, and when he died, he was the last king to have his jawbone (which was believed to contain his spirit) placed in a royal shrine staffed by his descendants. The Wamala King’s tombs, including the shrine of Kabaka Suuna II, are one of only two such tomb complexes remaining in Uganda. After a sumptuous Local cuisine at the Roots Restaurant, visit the Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrine and Museum. The Uganda Martyrs Shrine Namugongo is one of the largest Christian pilgrimage destinations in Africa dedicated to the 22 Martyrs and saints of Uganda who were martyred between 1885 and 1887 by the king of Buganda, Kabaka Mwanga II.
